Our Inclusive Alternative Life Drawing Classes

If your Instagram feed has been filled with nude drawings by your pals of late, you’re not alone! Maybe they’re raving about one specific life drawing class or model and you’re thinking, “What’s all the fuss?” You kinda fancy giving it a shot, but you’ve literally never done anything like this since school. If you’re gonna try one online group, make it All The Young Nudes. Our online drawing club is for you!

Here at All The Young Nudes, anyone and everyone is welcome. During our weekly broadcast, there is no teaching, just a helping hand if you need it. We have always encouraged people of all skill levels, especially beginners, and people of any age to give life drawing a shot. You don’t need any experience - everyone can draw, just wait and see! Our regular weekly sketchers are not all experienced artists and there are normally at least 5 brand new people in the virtual drawing room.

Our online life drawing sessions aren’t too different from our in-person events. We are always based in laid back venues, and online is no different. We set the tone with sound and visuals. If you arrive at 6.45pm, you’ll get 15 minutes of our welcome and warm-up music, plus some nattering in the live chat box. Think of this as a really fun reception party before a wedding, cause it’s kinda like that.

Our infamous playlist is hand-crafted around your life drawing model poses, every week, by Joanna Susskind and Pete Ballantine. You can of course make requests too. Once the drawing starts, we recommend you go full screen and turn up the music. Most people attend alone but many also join in groups, with a Zoom call on the side. It’s your 2 hours, your evening and we want you to feel free to create your own little sketching sanctuary at home.

What makes our drawing club different to other online life drawing classes?

So you might be thinking that’s all well and good, but what actually makes All The Young Nudes different from every other online drawing class?

Well for starters, we’re not really a class. It’s more of a social drawing club. Our events aren’t taught, and don’t follow a traditional “class” format. We have always specified “club” over “class” as there are no teachers here, you can chat amongst yourselves during the poses, plus you can sing, dance and snaffle a couple of pints or glasses of wine in these two hours.

We pride ourselves on the diverse audience we’ve been pulling in for the last 12 years. Bring your friends, you could bring a first date, or your brother, yer mother. Heck you can bring your neighbours. We have grown via word of mouth and offer free passes to sketchers who would like to bring along a friend who hasn’t been before. Sharing is caring, dontchaknow!

Each week we bring you a unique and interactive creative experience online like no other.

I know. You’re thinking, shoot, this is going to be one of these dreaded Zoom gatherings. We don’t operate on Zoom! You are not on screen, just your hosts and your models. There is a live chat box, but you can dip in and out of the club once you’ve bought your ticket.

Our life drawing sessions are designed and produced by Joanna Susskind (that’s me!) Each session is unique, featuring a new model and new location. Locations over lockdown have included, the caves of Mallorca, Portobello beach, The Savings Bank in Glasgow, London, Italy and Bangalore. The internet really is such a fun place.

Part of the fun is animated titles and graphics. And no art show is complete without it’s own title sequence; It’s Time Tae Draw, written and performed by the one and only Aldo Palumbo. Everything caters to your needs, so that you can sit back and relax. Stevie says, don’t you worry about a thing. And so, well, don’t.

We broadcast live every Monday night, streaming straight to your living room. Our poses are all shot in HD, often 4k and we are streaming at a very fast speed to ensure you get the crispest and sharpest of images on your screen. We recommend scaling up as big as you can. Avoid sketching from iPhones. Desktops, laptops and TVs are grand. Projectors are the best.

The sessions are all archived so you can catch up any time via replays on the website or direct via our Crowdcast page. If you’re on a different time zone, Monday nights don’t work for you or perhaps you would rather see the poses in isolation without the live element, you can subscribe to Poses On Demand on our website which is our curated HD video pose library, which allows you to sketch in your own time. On Demand members also gain access to exclusive poses that aren’t broadcast in the live sessions.

This all sounds great – how can I join?

There are loads of different ways you can join our life drawing club.

You can drop in any Monday for only £6 a session (which includes an unlimited replay of the same live show). If you’re not sure, you can check out a couple of free replays of our life drawing classes first.

If you already sold, check out our Patreon for discounts, exclusive poses and first access to our content.

That’s it, all done here. The only thing for it is to come along and have a go - If you don’t love it, I will eat my words. It’s time tae draw!
